How to Get Donations For Your Art Class

The past few years I had to question why I was spending so much money on my classrooms and watching students walk in with armfuls of tissues, sanitizer and wipes for their classroom. Finally dawned on me that those teachers get things...because they ASK for things. I decided to try it out for back to school night. I made a little poster and put it in the corner without mentioning it or making a big deal and you know what. Parents went over there, tore down a slip and then asked me exactly what brand and how many I wanted. LIGHTBULB moment! If you could use more...anything I have just the poster for you. Check it out.

Leadership Display

New posters for my new room!

*** UPDATED ***

Last year I tried to share these as a free download on TpT and was forced to remove them.  If you like them, I have a set of the clip art kids in my shop and you can make your own.

Procreate

More experiments with the ipad pencil and procreate app. Just a little art room decor for back to school and of course I had to turn it into a worksheet for their interactive art workbooks.

Update: It's also a sticker!

Summer Happenings

In June we found out our specials team would have an ipad cart at each elementary building. We ALSO learned that we would have a set of apple pencils for the students to use. A little nervous to teach something I hadn't used, I bought myself a pencil and have been playing with the procreate app. It's hard for me to create without a goal in mind so I decided to create some new characters for the signs in my room and so these little cuties were born:

Would love to hear how you're using the tablet/stylus with your kids. I must say that this case by KHOMO has been a lifesafer for not losing or dropping the pencil.  As an added bonus, when you're holding the tablet, your right hand has a place to rest instead of being on the screen and accidentally scrolling (as mind often does)

My clip art packs are available here.
