Sketchbooks are worth roughly 20% of a project grade, and my expectation is they spend 1 hour per week minimum on their sketchbooks. My criteria for grading is continuous improvement over time. This week's topic was continuous line drawing. I shared a video of Princess Etch the etch-a-sketch artist. Students had to sit somewhere at home and draw any scene they like with a continuous line. As you can see, they are rising to the challenge.
