Advanced Figure Drawing Methods

My advanced art students are currently working on a figure drawing unit I call "Body Language". We kicked things off with some basic activities for identifying a line of action and calculating proportions before trying our hand at four figure drawing methods:

They had a chance to practice each technique multiple times. We then took turns modeling for each other, and had cast members from the school play model in their costume, which was such a fun dynamic. 

I can't wait to share their finished work! Figure drawing has always been a favorite past time for me and I love the resurgence lately of drop in figure drawing opportunities locally.
